The Digital Action Lab Cohort 3, an initiative by CIVICUS, is officially open for applications. This program supports organizations working to strengthen democracy and expand civic space through digital innovation.

With funding of up to $20,000, combined with expert guidance and global exposure, this initiative is designed to help organizations turn ideas into real-world impact.

What is the Digital Action Lab?

The Digital Action Lab is a 9-month fully supported program that empowers civil society organizations (CSOs) to design and implement digital solutions addressing civic challenges. It focuses on improving participation, transparency, and accountability in societies where civic space may be limited or under pressure.

Participants gain not only financial support but also access to tools, mentorship, and a collaborative global network.

Selected organizations will receive a comprehensive support package, including:

  • Grants ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 to fund their projects

Who Can Apply?

  • Groups focused on democracy, civic engagement, and protecting civic space
  • Teams with some level of digital experience or innovation capacity

Priority Consideration

Special priority is given to:

  • Youth-led organizations
  • Women-led initiatives
  • Grassroots movements working at the community level
